5 Days Serengeti Wildebeest Migration

Luxury safari travel to Africa that rewilds souls and enhances lives while saving wildlife and wild spaces.

Serengeti Wildebeest Migration

The Great Wildebeest Migration is the largest animal migration in the world. Every year, more than 2 million animals (wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle) migrate in a clockwise direction across the ecosystems of the Serengeti which is in (Tanzania) and the Masai Mara (Kenya). And this crossing it can be seen in the Mara River, at the kongatende} Area.
Not only is it the world's largest concentrated movement of wildlife, but also the longest in distance; the wildebeest travel over 1,800 miles on their on their 9 month journey. The Great Migration isn't a singular event—it's a yearlong cycle, a voyage driven mainly by food and water availability
There are two major river crossings along the path of the Great Migration. They are the Grumeti River crossing in Tanzania and the Mara River crossing in Kenya. The Grumeti River is the first water obstacle that these bumbling herds will encounter on this journey.
